really, I'm glad I don't like coke, or much fizzy drink for that matter but if i drink fizzy drink its normally Dr.Pepper.

In saying that I would really only drink it once or twice a year, I normally drink water and tea or coffee.

Not really surprising, I'd guess that Activision have seen a lot of growth under his control, even if a good proportion of it is through acquisition.

Directors aren't as involved as CEOs.

They are more a 'responsibility check' that scrutinize CEO decisions and advise on broad changes of strategy.

And there's usually lots of them per company. Hence a board of directors. Coke probably has about twenty more who also act in a more involved role in other companies.

Not that surprising, given the familiar area of expertise ... both companies sell the same product year after year

Lol @ people who'll refuse to drink Coke because a game publishing schmuck has jumped on board. Never mind the fact that it's full of sugar, calories, fattening etc. etc. "Oh noes, he's ruined my game franchise now he'll ruin teh drink !!"

Don't mess with the Coke, Bobby! Think of Madagascar!

The Coca-Cola Company is the world's largest consumer of natural vanilla extract. When New Coke was introduced in 1985, this had a severe impact on the economy of Madagascar, a prime vanilla exporter, since New Coke used vanillin, a less-expensive synthetic substitute. Purchases of vanilla more than halved during this period.

Damn near destroyed their economy

Maybe Pepsi will offer a similar position to John Riccitiello (head of EA)
