Jesus can you stop with these **** articles about gaming layoffs, traditionally STAFF GET LAID OFF ONCE A GAME IS FINISHED! Development has never been a permanent job.

Agreed, a lot of staff, especially artists, are contract workers there for the one project.

Damn that's kind of a douche move. But yes if they are only contracted for a specific job/time frame then it is an unfortunate situation, one that happens too often :/

It's a bit early to dis the game when it actually looks pretty promising. Can't look at it as thought it's the original syndicate though. Not all fans can get that out of their heads though...

It's got the originals name and symbolism, that's probably why?

Change it to a different name and ok... it can be its own failing idea, but use the name of one of the greats from the early days and its an insult.

Came in to say along the same lines. This is an industry norm and yet news sites jump on it like it's the latest Lohan scandal. It just makes developers look like the devil to those who don't understand the industry.

I am not biased about its differences from the original as I have not played it the game itself looks OK but nothing stand out or overly exciting from what I have seen. I do like the visual style though.

People are playing it now and discussing their experiences on-line - as predicted it is a bland, linear corridor shooter with little to no relationship to the game Syndicate.
