Wow, some ppl seem very hard to please.
I was amazed they even got that level of gore in a tv show, let alone it lasted more than one season.
You can't just have them travelling every episode and blowing up a ton of zombies.
I would imagine those who are saying it is kinda boring would prefer that, but for how long before that just got boring too?

The rub is, i'm not really a fan of zombie stuff, i like apocalyptic stuff, just not zombies really, but this show has held my interest for 2 seasons now.
If the goal is to straddle that middle ground between hard core gore nuts and the rest of us, i think it's done it rather well!

Fact is, the farm makes sense, they aren't in danger constantly, it has everything they need (for now) , but it's slowly falling apart.
From here on out it is only going to get more interesting imho

They are making a game of it too btw.

What am i missing here, you are saying to go and read the comics because they are different to the show?
I like the show, so there is really no incentive there tbh.

Heh, have a buddy at work who watches Fringe, as i do , always at me to go and read the comic too...
Says i can't possibly understand whats really going on without reading it, funny thing, i don't find fringe hard to follow at all...

LAYING THE SMACK DOWN.

oh that scene. that scene is a glimmer of hope. a glimmer of something 10x more awesome than that which has passed.

This. If you want a 'pure' Walking Dead experience then read the comics, if you want entertainment and a proper 'walking dead' experience then watch the show.

Both are completely separate from each other except for the main underlying characters (Except a certain someone who should be dead)

Also, if you have read ALL the comics you can look at this:

Hidden: show
I'm seriously hoping if they get to the prison that they don't write Rick cutting his hand off in! Seriously the worst decision that was ever made.. Everyone I think agrees on that.

You're mistaken, the Governer cuts his hand off, and if they get rid of that whole thing I'll be disappointed.

I'm still thinking that the governor is going to be the older redneck brother, I sorta agree though about the hand but it WAS a significant part of Rick totally losing his **** (and later on it forces him to treat carl like an adult).

I've been thinking the same thing. Merle comes back as a now totally psychotic leader of a band of psychotics and kidnaps Rick et al creating a dilemma for Darryl and creating a situation not unlike the Governor/Prison story arc.

Losing the hand was just a vehicle to make Rick seem even more badass when he starts kicking dude's arses one-handed hehe

just caught up to date on series, loving the return except Laurie is a dumbass!

So far have read up to comics
Hidden: show
where Rick and black guy have big fight and they decide on group leadership after rick wakes up from suicide attempt
. I think the comics are fantastic but I also really love the show, I'm thinking of them as two different versions of the same concept. I think they knew they couldn't do the comic exactly as it was in a tv show so made some alterations they thought would suit what they were making and I think it has done so.

Loved the intensity of the scene in the bar
Hidden: show
as soon as the guy jumped over and stood behind the bar you knew where it was going, damn rick is a quick draw

I really can't wait for next episode.
Hidden: show
Preview indicates confrontation between Rick and Shane, i'm wondering if the outcome may be the same as first book with the son firing the shot...could be fun. that would follow up from Laurie being concerned about the son saying he would have shot the little girl as well when she came out of the barn.

hope I haven't included too many hidden tags, just didn't want to reveal for those not caught up yet :)

**** spoilers guys. ****.

some people have been good with the hidden tags, some people don't even bother, and some people mix TV spoilers with book spoilers.

only thing I can think of is to put the type of spoiler it is going to be before the hidden tag.

so much yelling at my tv at some of the illogical and irrational decisons of every character. so much emotional overreacting

but just think of the situation they are in. I don't think there would be many people that would be able to act completely logically in those situations.

there's a fine line between hating a character because that's what they're supposed to be like (Joffrey from GoT) and hating a character because they are ****. I don't know if I would put any characters from Walking Dead in that second category.

granted, i cant really give an accurate response as iv never experienced a zombie apocolypse

sorta spoilers
Hidden: show
but everyone is against everyone. the character development just seems to be a mess. one episode a character is made to seem smart and wise, and then in the next we see him/her as an enemy. im just having trouble trying to figure out who i should be rooting for thus developing an emotional attachment to and hopeing to see him or her succeed/survive/win (or whatever). i find myself being irrated by rick.
