Reality TV Shows..

Unread postby EeeK-Daz23 » 8 Feb 12, 8:51 am

Ok i know lots of you probably dont think too much of these type of shows, I am the same and think there are too many RTV shows around. But i have found some good ones which i watch regularly.

So the question is what other RTV shows do people actually watch?

What i am watching at the moment:
Storage Wars (watched several starage shows and this one is probably the most believable, even tho they still create fake tension for the camera)
Pawn Stars (I believe this is how american restoration came about because you see rick from American Restoration in this show pretty often and vice versa)
American Restoration (prob my fav one at the moment)
Kitchen Nightmares (good for a laugh at how stupid people are)

Also watch WWE/TNA Wrestling if thats classed as RTV

I usually like having these type of shows running on my second monitor while browsing or playing a game :) Because you dont need to concentrate too much on them.

I'm mad for Survivor, haven't missed a season yet. I also watch The Amazing Race and The Ultimate Fighter.

I will occasionally watch random fly-on-the-wall type Reality TV/Documentaries as well.

**** forgot about American Pickers.. Its another good show, you see Mike and Frank on American Restoration every now and then aswell.
I use to watch Survivor(even the dodgey Australian one) but lost interest in the concept over time. The same with Mythbusters, I usually just youtube it now if there is an exciting myth.

At last, a sport I could see myself organising an afternoon around. You know the ones you see on cheesy American sitcoms, 4 blokes + chips & dip + beers, big soft couch, huge TV, the four guys yelling and cheering at the TV.

Looks awesome.

We should start a Survivor thread when the new season starts to gossip, speculate and criticise in 8)

I demand to know why this isn't more corporate! We need advertisers and sponsor and betting and air time on free to air TV!

Honestly, it's because outside highlight videos it's 95% terribly boring to watch unless you're actually there, all the commentary i've ever heard was really really boring (and it dont think it could be done well). It's like watching golf on tv.

Does An Idiot Abroad count as reality TV? That's about the closest I get.
