I am definitely hoping the universe continues in some fashion. Behind Half Life Mass Effect is my all time.

I wonder if EA would let them make an ME MMO any time soon. They've made a massive investment in TOR and I doubt they'd be keen for another MMO - from the same studio no less - that would appeal to virtually the same audience and also not appeal to such an incredibly wide range of people as something with Star Wars in the title. I'm happy to be wrong - I'd love to see a really well made ME MMO - but I just can't see them green lighting a project like that for a few years yet.

The ME novels so far were written by Drew Karpyshyn. I thoroughly enjoyed them and they were bang on when it came to the ME cannon. They should be - Drew wrote the vast majority of it. I'm a little worried that he didn't have a direct hand in the story for ME3 - he was working on TOR instead. I just hope Bioware's writing staff don't depend too much on the writing talents of one person.

On the new novel - Clearly Bioware made a mistake getting William C. Dietz to write this one. :(

I'm a little bit behind the times, I'm just playing through ME 1 for the first time at the moment. I didn't expect to play it through, being an old game with not so great graphics and the lure of ME2 & 3 being there, but I am actually enjoying it. Looking forward to ME 2 and then ME 3. So far looks like a great series.

Hah! I'm playing ME1 for the first time too. It plays very well for an older game imo.

Make sure you up the resolution past 1280x800 though.

yup I agree plays well. Got everything maxed out (I put a second GPU in the pooter for BM:AA). Sounds great too on the 5.1 setup. Awesome loading times with the SSD too! Definately worth the $5 or whatever it was it cost me.
