So they're not going to call each season by the books name aye?

While i'm not excited per say i'll be watching it to see what happens next. I hope they don't cheap out on big battles like what they apparently did near the end of Season 1.

TRS said that the part at the end where Tyrion is knocked unconscious by a hammer as they charged for battle didn't happen and he actually takes part in that battle. The show only showing the aftermath of said battle.

The battle in the book doesn't really serve much of a purpose besides endearing Tyrion to the reader. It would've been great to have it in but I can see why they would write a largely superfluous event out if the screenplay.

It would've translated to maybe 5 minutes of action involving a bumbling midget getting lucky and killing a horse.

My point was more that the scene itself serves little purpose, and yes that makes it prime material to excise for the sake of time and money. The show didn't suffer from the cut of this particular moment.

Either way they have a much larger budget as a result of the massive success of the first season and from what I've seen we can expect greater scale in effects and staging.
