No its a Macbook Air... you can get those cases for them.

The one on the left is the macbook air, the one on the right is an iPad, the iPhone took the photo.

Don't flag me as a fan boy, I really hate apples software policies. But they make really good hardware.

The cases are from Twelve South, BookBook series.

Also FYI Parallels 7 does not work on machines with 128GB of RAM.

O_O You really went and got 128GB of RAM? Dude.. your crazy but I love it haha.

Bootcamp is the only way your getting Windows on that thing then, I thought Parallels would've run still..

OS X Lion has no problems with the 128GB RAM, but parallels freaks the **** out, massive kernel panics and all sorts of problems. I had to use some commands to limit it down to 64GB (after limiting to 64MB cause support failed to understand the commands).

Hahaha, well at least you did get it working. So you limited it in Parallels or across OS X?

How much did it all cost?

Had to limit across the board, using the nvram command inside of OS X. Of course it reads values in MB not GB so after typing it in as 64 the machine could not boot any thing AT ALL. I;m now in talks with Parallels support testing software for them (they never had a machine with this much resources).

I have learnt more about Apples Firmware these past 3 days then I ever wanted to.

The whole setup came to about $14,000. 3 Monitors, 128GB of RAM, two ATI video cards, 1x 480GB SSD, 1x 240GB SSD, 1x 3TB HDD, 1x 1TB HDD and a touch pad. OH and an extension cable for one of the monitors cause apple reduced the monitor cable length by about 700mm from the previous generation of monitors and of course one monitor wouldn't reach.

As for the day to day function of the machine one SSD is for OSX Lion one is for Windows 7, I currently am running the windows bootcamp via Parallels7. I am playing Star Wars the old republic on full settings in full screen, with media playing on another monitor, browsing the web on the 3rd and shifting between spaces of Skype chats, terminal windows and other virtual machines with no performance hit.

I am one happy little kid.

Put one of the SSDs in the bottom DVD drive slot and you can fit another 3TB HDD in that puppy.

The RAM is more about cost effectiveness.

64GB of RAM from Apple costs $4500. Thats pretty **** retarded.

128GB of RAM from OWC is $2000.

So if I wanted to upgrade my RAM, if you take the costs of Apples stock and OWC stock.

Its like, why not go for the max.

14000 for a computer to run swtor on max, on one of three screens, media, and skype+web and virtual servers....

thankyou...

just thankyou.

no not for buying a mac or spending a riduclous amount on what would be an amazing setup that im sure will last you ~5yrs.

Purely, and simply for that fact your setup is now more over resourced and under utilized than my current setup for which i paid ~2.5k for all up and over time that already does all that and more for which i thought was under utilized and over resourced...

thank you.

still,

Thunderbolt displays i hope! and no external thunderbolt drive for backups!
