SQ DM (HC) - FAIL MODE!!!

Hey guys, working through the assignements and been playing the Sq DM and noticed that its NOT A SQUAD mode at all.

Its 4 seperate teams, with no squad ability at all. What sort of epic fail is that dice / ea??? BC2 had that mode right, and BF3 brings on the fail ffs.

No Squads, so no Squad spawn, no Squad Assist, No Squad Leader, no SQUAD WORK. WOW. How stupid.

/leaves for the EA forums to rant some more.

Squad DM is a bit fail at the moment, it glitches with servers larger than 16 slots. I'm still waiting for the fix so I can put my server back onto an awesome mode when it actually works..

I'm sure most ppl only play SQ DM for the L85 and most feel your pain (I'm one of those) and now that I've got it doubt I'll ever go back, unless its to boost for a friend. IMO the L85 isn't worth the pain, but I understand that it 'has' to be done.

It also stuffed with servers with 16 slots, Dice have done some more epic fail, oh well we all wait for the next patch to fix/stuff things. :roll:

16 worked fine on mine because it split each squad into its proper 4 and allowed spawning off the squad leader as it should.

Who knows, DICE need to fix it quickly.

Just played some Squad RUSH and that was buggy also. Some rounds you were squadded up, others you were randoms :( Nice one.

On the upside, just completed the Professional Russian Assignment so now I can play other modes :).

I found that the switch team feature would put me in a random squad and have actual squad benefits with most of the people in that squad.

thats worth remembering, i quite like squad deathmatch and dont mind a run in there from time to time

I just played SQ DM for about an hour in order to get the Professional Russian assignment.

We must have been lucky - 4 man squad on TS - sqaud spawning actually working... may explain how we were able to wreak havoc on the other players rather than our usual "Damn close, but not winners" performance.

I wonder if joining on each other had something to do with it. (The way the servers will shuffle you automatically to the other side and put you in the same squad if possible when you join on a friend)

Its not a team based mode...All it is, is which squad can kill guys the quickest and the most. Thats an individual skill ability.

For it to be classed as teamwork it the objective should have been to have 2 cap areas fight over the cap areas the team that had control of the cap area the longest up to a point of say either longest in 10mins 20 etc or even hold the point for 10mins 20 mins whatever.

I agree that to make it MORE of a team (actually, SQUAD) based mode it needs more of a objective, like a central point or two to fight over (great idea actually) like a Squad King of the Hill but it has its squad based tactics in its elements of the game mode. Its just KILL everyone else. But you need Medics and Support and Recon (I guess.... :roll: ) to be really efficient.

Perhaps we should hassle Dice for a SKTH mode :)

I like the SDM, it only works when you have 4 guys working as a team. TS3 makes it even better. If you stick together and move as a group with a good coverage of classes you will dominate the other teams.
