In my option, whilst Aliens is quite a different direction to Alien .. it's still is one of Cameron's best.

Three .. yeah .. had issues. It's "ooookaaaay" but also "naaaah" ..

The forth is same in my opinion .. a real mixed bag.

But yes, one is a Must, and the second is close behind.

While i'm not some crazed fan over the series I thought they were all good in their own way. Well except the beginning of Alien 3.

i still prefer the 2nd to all of them. While the 1st is great, it just dosnt have the scale of the 2nd.

Theres just so many small things about the 2nd that i love. the characters, the weapons, the soundfx. theres also about 5 absolutly stunning camera shots that you wouldnt pick for an 80s movie

Agree, the 3rd and 4th are meh, but if you mix them in with the rest of the movies available today they're actually not that bad. Aliens is by far the best.

I see the first and second movies as their own true expression .. and the third and fourth more as hangers on. They're not 'that bad', it's just that they're not great. Following those two movies would be damn hard in any judgement.

It's almost as good a numbering scheme as Windows ..

Hmm yeah, 3 was the one that got dicked around by the studio. Not that it was going to be super awesome anyway, but it just seems like a bit of a mish-mash now. I don't mind it though actually, it's a bit underrated. I think Sigourney Weaver's performance was excellent in #3, it's just a shame that there wasn't really anyone else interesting to do stuff with...

#3 has the potential to be good. It depends on which edit you watch.

This movie looks awesome. Can't wait :)
