I'm so over Skyrim.

Unread postby Freeborne » 20 Dec 11, 2:25 pm

'Finished' it about 2 weeks ago now (I think, it seems so long ago).

Completed the main quest, and was a bit dissapointed there was no 'end' so I kept adventuring for a few days and realized it was getting boring. I was already level 48 or something and only reason I went and did the main quest was I was starting to get bored.

So, Skyrim is over. Unless a large mod comes out, I don't see myself playing it again. Sure there's lots of things I haven't explored yet, but for the most part, things are pretty repetitive, and I can't be bothered starting a new character just to sample different styles like a Mage or Thief, especially if I have to sit through the same dialogue and quests all over again.

So where is everyone? There's been 0 players online most of the time, even on the weekends.

Is everyone still playing Skyrim or something else?

Um I've been playing Skyrim still and been getting heavily back into Red Orchestra 2. Still play Insurgency nightly when people are keen, not much reason to go back to the warfare until numbers increase.

I'm holding out until 1.60 to do anything really decent with Arma to be honest.

Hah, I'm holding out till Release 3. I hope they do better regarding performance this time. Indoors is fairly lagging in Arma. Aching for a 1/2 way realistic game that can actually handle CQB.

Also hope they do something about the dicky grenade throws. Steal what America's Army ArmyOps had. That was the perfect grenade throw feel, could also do proper cookoff, the feel was just right to lob perfectly. AA CQB was awesome fun. Till it went mainstream and got timed spam as bad as CS.

ye i go bored of skyrim weeks ago.
im just waiting for he CK to get released before ill attempt to play it again!

ive tried playing arma again and im keen too, but the whole 100% tax thing just leaves a foul taste in my mouth and i quit after 5-10 mins..

i want to play arma again but with every1 thinking that the com deserves 100% tax just because the ai is paying, will cause me to probably never return to arma.

was a fun game i spent 1000s of hours playing it.. but just so hard to get back into when i have to beg some douche bag so i can buy a car!

until the mentality changes that 100% tax is not cool id rather playing openttd,

yes old but..a lot less greeedy wankers!

anyhoo have fun may see yas on arma 3, or maybe not :)

Tax shouldn't be on... I always turned it off and people started having heart attacks when they couldn't distribute the money the way they wanted to.

Maybe we could designate a night for warfare so all the old players jump on for a chat and a laugh.

Ive kinda given up playing games for a bit, went and bought my self a BT1 commodore, gonna mess around with cars for a while

also easy way to fix the tax problem would be for me to remove it from the mission...

Also quit my job as service manager for LEC broken hill cause I've basically had enough of the IT industry and running this service department

im keen im over bf3 the fkn thing barely works, ill be there if theres no tax or its as little as 20% as thats all comm needs for acouple of hours and he'll have plenty of $$ above 20% im not making the effort to take towns and do the dirty work and not get rewarded for it

Tax seems a bit unfair, but I personally can't complain, because if I'm not Commander, the other player will usually feed me a steady flow of cash.

I don't think anyone ever really loses out with 100% tax if the Commander dishes cash out frequently, because (I could be wrong) I think there more money flowing when tax is 100% then when it's at 0%. Either way, most noobs waste their cash anyway and I don't think they deserve it when at least half the players in a full server contribute bugger all to their teams.

I've never been so rich since we started using 100% tax. Even when I was 2 or 3 times ahead of any other player in a 3 hour game I could barely afford a chopper, and almost never a jet.

Now I'm buying several attack choppers in a game

I want to see some poor man's games though. No heavy factories or air, just Light Factories and a small trickle of income.

Well half income is great makes people walk to their first town and work as a team. Takes a good 30 mins before you can get a light factory and so on.

I earn the bulk of my money through taking towns killing ak snipers. But it still annoys the hell out of me when the commander is so bored that he actually enjoys sitting at base handing out paychecks to players. When he should be upgrading and moving the base as soon a possible so as to avoid detection from one of our many skilled (early) basehunters.

Go play payroll simulator 2011 if you want to do that kthx.

Well I'm keen for a game tonight if possible, since steam is telling me about a big fat juicy update for OA.
