the ****

I'm pretty good at video games.

...how does one finish an MMORPG? Don't they usually have end-game **** that takes weeks/months to get to?

Well I'm confused, if it's a joke, it's not much of one.

More of a unfunny joke. Like, I used to be a Jedi, until I took an blaster bolt to the knee.

Okay, finished Saints Row 3.

Game of my Year.

From it's polish, it's comparative lack of bugs and needed patches, a single player campaign of real length, co-op, general madness, it's excellent. The issues I have with it are so minor (like, why use E to access crib AND open door?), it's a testament of how good the game is itself.

No, it's not a Skyrim or a BF3, and it doesn't try to be. It's too busy being itself and it does it brilliantly.

10 out of 10 fedoras.

I watched the first episode of good game I had in about 3 years and they just so happened to be reviewing that very game. And I definitely wanted it...

I'm a hard arse when it comes to game reviews .. I don't do reviews really, I do analysis. And the faults in SR3 are few and far between. Little things here or there, but really, the greatness of the *game* itself far, far out-weighs those annoyances.

Some don't like the 7 foot dildo baseball bat, well, there you go. Personally, it's a meh moment .. shape aside, as a weapon, it's excellent.

The driving is pure arcade action, it doesn't *try* to be more, and it does what it does well. You can upgrade vehicles, and they can do more arcade action .. and again, does it better. It's like that across the whole game.

The story is fantastic. Over the top, never bland in construct, always building to the next Big Thing. After finally having finished it, I want more. Not in a "this game is too short" way, no way, more a case of "that was SO GOOD, GIVE ME MOAR!" way.

Props for it running so smoothly on my rig also. Even in DX11 mode, it was pretty damn slick running medium .. needed to put on vsync to keep it from tearing.

Hmm, maybe I should crank it up a little and play again ..

That's how I see myself yet I just get hounded over it all the time now.

Finished both dead space games in a row. Very awesome duo of games. The first one wasn't too scary, time second one had a bit more of a fear factor. Love the fact that there was no HUD at all in either game, they made it really easy to navigate too. Capcom should take notes for the next resident evil game.

On the topic though, making the third a FPS seems like a strange thing to do when they do OTS so well.

Just got my final achievement in Skyrim, will probably play around on my current character for a bit more until I hit seventy, then I might try another run on a higher difficulty with some mods and maybe without fast travel to make it interesting.

Finished the main storyline in AC. Time to get all the Riddler trophies. Or go insane trying to find all 460 of them.
