I'm Scarecrow(as the name suggests), and I first started playing games online within the Australian Battlefield 1942 community. Over the years it's dwindled, until sometime last year when it really reached the low points and the last competitive games were played.
Many of the clanners have kept in touch and continue playing together on newer games, however, 1942 still remains a firm favourite.
For that reason we have reunion nights every few weeks, usually aiming for the first Sunday of every month. This Sunday we're having one such night with several rounds of 1942 on one of the last servers still running in Australia.

YOU need: The game, fully patched. The last version was 1.619b or something, and there are two files you need:
1. v1.619
2. v1.619 to v1.61b
You can usually find them on Fileplanet or something like that. If you have trouble finding patches please PM me either on this account or at http://www.team-tarrare.au.com/ under the name Scarecrow, and I'll send you a direct link.
So if you have 1942 lying around(which a lot of people seem to), load it up, patch it, and come play with us for a night. You don't need to be the best in the world, it's definitely more about fun than later incarnations.
We won't be running any mods or maps you need to download, but we do have server side modded maps that will be put on through the night.
