Is there proper Multiplayer for PC version of MW3

Hi all.

Quick question:

Is the multiplayer for MW3 existent? I'm getting mixed responses about this. Also after searching GoN's servers, i don't see any servers for MW3. What's going on? Is the game worth buying for PC Multiplayer?

There are dedicated servers, you have to enable the server browser in the options before it even shows up though. As for whether it's worth buying that's a much more subjective question. I'm still on the fence about whether it was money well-spent, hopefully they'll patch some things and implement some much-needed balance changes and it'll be okay.

Also note that dedicated servers are not 'ranked'. i.e. you won't gain levels, complete challenges, unlock new guns etc on them. You have to play on the P2P iwnet like MW2 if you want to rank up.

Was sitting here looking at the 'add to cart' button but thought I'd do the same as pwned and look for GoN servers. Glad I did as it brought me to this thread... so all along, IW's cry of MW3 having dedicated servers was really a misdirectional crock.

I'm pretty sure IW never cried about dedicated servers back in mw2, those guy who got fired supported P2P because they hated pirates on PC. I'll try find a link.

I paid ~$25 for it (albeit a Russian cd-key) and I regret paying that much for a mediocre game. But $100!? In Feb 2012!?

It's the CoD series man, they are one of the few games to never go on special at the local retailer. Even CoD4 was still full price up until maybe 9 months ago?

dont bother for multi player was given to me for xmas was good for single (that could be even subjective), but until they bring back dedi servers for cod series, dont bother, stick to cod MW1
