Unread postby UnderTow » 11 Oct 11, 11:31 pm

so ye some new info has been released by the leak of the skyrim manual.
such info includes:
>stamina and magica can regenerate but health doesnt
>u can remove crosshairs and u can adjust the opacity of the of the hud like fallout
>u can persuade, intimmidate, bribe or brawl npcs to get info out of them
>u can hire people to explore with u, at taverns and of course u can find companions
>u can command followers to do stuff like pick locks, pick up items, and use things such as chairs
>sneaking involves, Line of sight, Darkness, movement and sound to be detected
so there is a little bit of info, maybe not new to all but it sure sounds good to me!! :)

The whole manual: http://imgur.com/a/RFee1

also, the skyrim map:

apparently you need to enlarge the map of Cyrodiil (in Oblivion) by 40% to get it to fit in with this map.

I want to walk from Riften to Solitude. I wonder how long it'd take. :D

Looks like it could take quite a while. Those roads are a mess.

Roads? Where's the fun in taking the roads? Cross country, man! See the sights, get gnawed on by wolves, hide from dragons. ;)

That was vaguely my point, the roads don't take you to see the sights.

Oh well, x marks the spot I see.

Roads? Where we're going, we won't need roads #backtotheskyrim

:dodgy:

There was a great but simple mod for Oblivion that would only allow fast travel if you were on your horse, that is the best happy medium I reckon. Either that, or only allow fast travel from main city to main city, a la Morrowind.

My enthusiasm for Skyrim has waned.. I'll have to wait for some videos and reviews to make the decision for me. I imagine the world is going to be huge though.

ye im not sure if that was the cyrodril transportation netwok or not, but that 1 was cool..

i think they may have a similar system in skyrim like u can hire people to take you from town to town.

WHY NOT JUST NOT USE FAST TRAVEL!?!?!?!?

Just saiyajin.

On topic: saw the manual a couple of days ago, didn't see the map though. I like it.

Yeah, I don't get that either. You could still walk or ride everywhere you wanted to go so it was up to players to use fast travel or not.
I think using it too much in Skyrim would negate some of the fun of fighting dragons in the wild, because you just won't see as many. :(
