When was that? :P
the libs have been spooning the nats for so long now, and before that it was still relying on preferences from the dems .etc.

I can't recall the last time the libs had a non-preference based majority.
i think labor have had a few but not most of the time either.

the libs and nats are seperate entities, but they are one party .. as in, it's a formal thing, unlike labor and the greens

No, they're a coalition not "one party"....they are two separate parties/ entities with a common/ similar cause joining together. You could also say that the ALP and the Greens are a Coalition with a common cause of keeping TA out of the lodge.

Sure you could say that .. but it's not the same ..

Wikipedia: "The Coalition in Australian politics refers to a group of centre-right parties that has existed in the form of a coalition agreement (on and off) since 1922."

Labor and the Greens have no such agreement, they are not a 'unified group' in any real way - outside of 'not being part of the Libs/Nats coalition'.

It's all semantics to me, I was just correcting your "one party" comment, which you have in this post also.

I'm just waiting for the prices to go up and for people to realise that the 'extra money' they are getting isn't going to cut it.

Carbon Tax, Day 1.

Dear Diary, the world hasn't ended... yet. I will keep hanging onto every shrill voice out there, t*x is a curse and the bane of our society, I expect the Python to strangle now that the Cobra has failed to strike.

Let's put the "higher prices" thing in perspective a bit.
