Saw it in the shops - $89 at EB Games, $72 at JB Hifi. Came home and saw it was only US$49 on Steam.

Really want this game... love my city builder/trading games, but I refuse to buy a game that forces me to be permanently online while playing. No sale for me until they remove that ****.

I'm really very disappointed that Bigpond's review neglects to mention that fact altogether, along with the other 3 reviews currently on Metacritic. It's way dodgy reviewing to omit such a major drawback.

I caved... because I really love these type of games. I feel so dirty.

Haven't had an issue playing yet, luckily.

Didn't know where to post this, so apologies in advance, but might want to remove Settlers 7 demo from GON now as it no longer works ( http://games.on.net/filelist.php?app=6199&menu=5 ).

I just downloaded and installed it, and after it finally finished updating itself, it directed me to http://siedler.de.ubi.com/siedler-7/med ... oads/demo/ which when translated into english (with Google Translate), reads;

Definitely an interesting game. Some of its more interesting features are the peripheral ones. You can customize your castle with different ornaments, windows, flags and such. An integrated achievements system lets you post your accomplishments to your Facebook profile if you so wish, while you can call on another player for assistance with the click of a button.
