Unread postby News Portal » 16 Feb 11, 11:02 am

For those precious few space cadets still plugging away at AI War: Fleet Command, fear not – the Arcen mothership has not forgotten about you. In fact, as well as dropping one of the biggest updates the galaxy has ever seen (maybe, I don’t know, it’s quite big anyway), they’ve also released AI War: Light of the Spire for a mere $10 US – an equally impressive expansion pack boasting some 180 new ship

It has a bit of a learning curve, primarily due to a woeful tutorial.

However, the game is pretty fun. I like the premise of an A-symetrical game (The computer is waaay more powerful, so u have to attack gurilla style).

And Co-op seems to be more satisfying than skirmish multiplayer from other games, where someone has to be the loser (as opposed to everyone losing, and u can commiserate together).

Every major patch has significantly changed the game. I Havent tried the new version to see how things are now.

What coatsy22 said.
I still have it installed, but haven't played or updated it in awhile.
Its a good game, but needs coop for the best fun.

The learning curve takes some getting used to, but is made a lot easier if you can get on vent or something with someone who knows what they are doing. Even I don't know how to play properly yet.

It's a good game. Could do with more players :)
