#rlysc2 StarCraft 2 friendly competition

Looks like there's gonna be a bronze-gold and a gold-diamond tournament then

pretty good way of putting it i guess. it isn't ideal, but the other option would be to say no plats or above. if this one goes smoothly, and we get more people signing up for the next one, i would be open to splitting the leagues, i don't know about the other guys.

I'm not really fussed either way because I'm sort of in the middle of all this being a gold/low plat.

But I would suggest just organize the competition in a way that makes the overall experience of the event more fun. So far it already sounds exciting having our own little mini-gsl

Traditional will be the best way to go. Someone has to lose first anyway, and it'll most likely create better games later on.

I'm not sure if there's any other Diamonds playing, but I know that my Terran is probably only Gold level anyway.

there's one other diamond that hopefully will be playing off race. there are 4 platinums and a lot of golds. there are actually more golds than anything else. when the numbers are final i'll probably make a post that has all the names, numbers and ranks.

i believe we have 21, and plan to cut it off at 24, or tonight/tomorrow some time.

I can't imagine any form of cheese in the bronze league would be hard to deal with...

Well even though my Sig says I'm gold, I've really only been playing on the US servers, which is bronze. But whatever.

as said before our original intent was to give friendly competition to bronze leaguers. we have at least 6 bronze and 1 unranked. no one is too horrible. if you're interested in becoming better, watch some matches, jump on vent, and ask someone to "cast" the game to get some pointers.

Im ranked in the gold league however I haven't played many 1v1 matches since not long after the game came out.

Hope I'm not too late - was meant to post yesterday but forgot

Anyway I think my sig says I'm gold, but most of my gametime has been in 2v2. So I'm probably a silver level 1v1 player at the most..but yeah not too fussed

Should be a bit of fun, hopefully the start of a new era (that era being GON SC2 tournaments ).
Oh and a 2v2 tournament of a similar style could also be fun
