Unread postby Mugsy » 10 Nov 10, 5:27 pm

Atlus games has announced a new co-op game due out this summer. The Cursed Crusade is an action adventure title that allows you and a friend to traipse around the medieval world in local split screen or online co-op. Available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC, you will play the role of a cursed Templar while a second player can play as a thief.

Thanks mate. I'm use to the extremely long code that Youtube's embed function spits out.

Looks like the enemies attack you one at a time.

Meh.

The combat reminded me of Assassins Creed in that sense. I think either way if the content is there and the combat is intuitive it could be a good game.

Me too... not that I've played Assassin's Creed but I've watched many a review in trying to figure out if I wanted to get the game or not.

Looks rather cool... but I'm not entirely enamoured of the developer's back catalog. Fair few casual titles and no-namers, along with Speedball 2 (the atrocious remake from a few years back).

Kylotonn Entertainment

In case of confusion: Atlus (the publisher) brought Demon's Souls and 3D Dot Heroes to the US (amongst other titles). Both were developed by From Software (currently working on Project Dark, the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls, for X360 and PS3), not Kylotonn Entertainment. The only communality is the publisher.

The split screen co-op is looking sweet!

Apparently, you can split the screen either vertically or horizontally depending on your preference.

The thief character looks like he can hold his own in melee combat and both characters have got ranged attacks. In fact, they look like duplicates of each other!

Either way, with this, War in the North and Hunted: The Demon's Forge all sporting split screen campaign co-op, I think 2nd half 2011 will be co-op hack n slash heavy.
