Dodgy dungeon locations..

Unread postby Nekosan » 21 Dec 10, 1:44 pm

Anyone ever found any in stupid spots? i found one on a small sand island last night and strangely enough the water wasn't leaking into it and half the mossy cobble was normal instead.

and from where i first saw it (once i had cleared it out)

I only saw it because there was broken water in the middle of nowhere and a little cobble, when i dug that first chest out i couldnt see any mossy and i thought i had found someones lost stash rofl.

hehe that is a good one.. It will be a nice spot for a trap, I wonder what it spawns.

Out of curiosity is this a newly explored area? Ive noticed ALOT of glitchy terrain (flying trees/cactus/sand blocks etc) today whilst playing on a test map. Coincidently alot of the glitches appear near the new lakes. Oh.. I found a lava pool too :D

It's not so much newly explored as part of the no-mans land i pass through to get to my place, i never noticed it before because the only telltale sign was 2 blocks of broken water not draining properly and 2 blocks of normal cobble.

Once found a dungeon the was half in a lake right near my homebase. As in, you could jump into the lake and there'd be a cavern in one of the lake "walls", with the water just flowing stright down instead of spreading out (until I interfered with it) Very curious.

From some of the awesome random dungeon configurations you can run into now, I can see it will only get more exciting and cool down the track when Notch adds more randomly generated enemy encounters/things.
