Is anyone else still annoyed by the fact that we get only five class slots with a maximum of ten if we invest a lot of playtime? It seems absurd to me that three years after COD4's release we're still using the same five kit model for a game with significantly more options available when creating a class. There are more game modes than there are kits available at the start for eff's sake.
Want to go play a different game mode? Great, I've got to change at least one kit, and then change it back when I'm done. What's this? I forgot? Oh boy Scavenger is going to be really useful to me in Search and Destroy, since I really like the warm comforting feeling of knowing I have several hundred rounds of reserve ammunition for when the enemy team respaw-...
Another thought struck me the other day. In a game of S and D I'd stacked up three killstreaks: a spy plane, a care package, and a chopper gunner. The start of the next round comes, and I can't deploy the chopper gunner in the first fifteen seconds. However, I can't deploy the spy plane or the care package until those fifteen seconds are over, because there's no way to cycle through killstreak rewards you've earned. This is especially annoying when you've got a spy plane and something aimable like a mortar strike, but have no way of changing the order of their deployment in order for them to be more effective.
A cosmetic thing: I have mouse 5 bound to the Grenade Launcher/explosive round key, and so this results in the little grid in the bottom right saying "mouse 5 or 5" and breaking its own formatting. Total consolitis.
Anyway, just needed to get that off my chest. If anybody else has anything to rant about, I assure you it's very therapeutic.
