Yeah I was worried about pre-ordering from HN online, so I went into the store and put down some deposit. So I've actually got the receipt detailing Cata as $38. Don't know if they can pull a swifty on that or not though~

i got an email back from them this morning stating my order will be ready and invoiced for $38

Blizz will let us Pre install i'd say other wise their servers would crash from all the people trying to DL it at the same time.

After pre-ordering from blizz my launcher downloaded about 1.5g I think. This was after 4.0.3 hit. Most of the cata content is already present in an up to date client.

called our local EB games yesterday to confirm todays pickup at 6pm, for 2 collectors editions, fully paid for. told the guy if we dont get there in time, we'll pick it up the next day or so.. "oh no, you cant do that, i can only hold onto it for 24hours then it'll go to some one else!"
"oh really.. i dont think you have the legal rights to do that mate, they're both fully paid for and i have the receipts right here. dont think your boss would appreciate legal action..."

also, there's only been 25 preorders at our local store, so no massive lineups for us!

I just walked up to the counter and said I wanted to pick up my pre-order ;)
