Yep, patch is coming down for me now. Apparently the new login page is perdy!
I'm okay with waiting till tomorrow to play. The temptation to try and see everything before sleep would be too great. ;)

[Edit]
Awesome cinematic is still awesome. New login page is indeed perdy and much quieter than the old one, which is nice. :)

I'm genuinely excited about this event and the expansion in general. I was a bit meh with WotLK and somewhat meh with TBC(although it was a little exciting seeing as it was the first expansion and all). This one has me really intrigued as to what will happen story wise.
I've read up on Deathwing and all he's done and he's a great character with an awesome story. He just seems really angry and terrifying, especially in the new cinematic as he's freakin' huge! Much larger than Onyxia and Nefarian.
I'm even tempted to read this book everyone is on about!

From what I've read you will start at the graveyard in Elwynn Forest.

Well now is a cheap time to pick up the first 3 parts:

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/1220626

$20USD gets you original, BC and WotLK right now

That's an amazing deal, Acaila. If you've never played it before now would be a good time to pick it up. :o

Servers still not up? Sigh. (Edit: Friend says they are. But there's a 100mb+ patch to download first anyway. :) )

Been pruning some of my addons. Got rid of Atlas for the time being. :D

Carbonite doesn't work properly in 4.0.3a yet. There's a beta available if you use it and will put up with bugs. I've temporarily ditched it, too.

Hehe, Gamon is a lvl 85 elite now. Kited him with Frozen Powered Frost Shocks to death. He dropped 1x Linen cloth.

Was funny watching melee walk up to attack him only to be 1 shot them while he was snared.

I'm using this for my UI now:

Works with 4.0.X and all up is around 1MB of ram, very light and clean.

It has regular updates via github as well: https://github.com/Elv22/Tukui

that's pretty damn cheap for $5.. does that still come with 30 days free? if so i might grab it when i get home. i'll probably pass on the expansions though, i doubt it will hold my interest long enough to play the expansion content. (it's all end game yeah?)

i cant believe i'm actually considering buying wow..wtf is wrong with me

No, definitely not all end-game content.

Burning Crusade is 60-70 plus the ability to play Draenei and Blood Elf races (from level 1) as well as the Jewelcrafting profession and... I forget what else.
Wrath of the Lich King is 70-80 plus the ability to create a Death Knight character (starts at lvl55) and... I forget what else. :D

Don't know if any/all come with 30 days free. But the base game + BC would be my recommendation, if you don't want to buy all three. It's still only $10 but you get two more races to choose from. Can always pick up Lich King (and Cataclysm) later if you're having fun. :)

[Edit]
Just checked the store - the base game comes with your first month free. :)

What chat mod and mini map mod are you using? They look real clean :P
