I wouldn't have compared them, the MoH:AA level lacked any kind of excitement or feelings, CoD should have done the landings, they could've done it properly

Call Of Duty: World At War, in the singleplayer campaign there is a scene where you are in a fountain and have to take shots at the Germans just as planes drop bombs so they can't hear where the shot is from. Almost exactly the same scene as is in Enemy At The Gates.

The last two examples...
The gfx devs aren't replicating movies...they're taking facial traits from race X, and relying on people's stereotypes of other people.

As for CoD: WaW, or Cod1...cod2...
Aren't they trying to replicate events that happened in...y'know...REAL LIFE?
Crossing of the Sienne, Stalingrad sniping...all happened in real life guys.
Without my pants.

Do you have any examples of your own? In my first example, they didn't just replicate an "event" that happened in real life (Stalingrad). They were clearly inspired by a specific scene in a movie. Second, comeon do you seriously not see that Nico Bellic is wearing the exact same blue with 2 white stripes jacket. Even the brown jacket he wears underneath the blue one is the same. Third, we're not saying any of these are examples of game devs "replicating" movies but they might have drawn inspiration from them.

No need to call me an idiot..

But I was talking about the being a sniper against a sniper, inside Leningrad .. thought that was in CoD2.

There's a scene in World At War in the first Russian level in Stalingrad where you're fighting a German sniper.

Call of Duty 1 had the Enemy At the Gates style scene with the boats crossing the volga and one rifle for two guys.

^ Pretty sure there's a sniper battle between russians (ie you) / germans in cod2 as well.
What can change the nature of a man?

That's right, where a fellow russian gets himself shot and then another soldier distracts him with the old trick of a helmet on a rifle and you shoot him. I had forgotten about that.
