I haven't seen this posted here yet and it is a bit late but anyone doing the World Tour event today?

For anyone thats new these events are open to all iRacers no matter what license level and are a lot of fun.

Yup im running it.. have qualed 15th (with one qual session yet to end) which means im running in the top split for the race, and quite frankly im crappin myself lol!

Wow nice work. I haven't raced much lately and didn't get much praqc time so I'm well down the list. A lot more comfortable down here.

Well that was very entertaining! Loved every minute of it. James was excellent. Ken had some mad battles going on throughout most the race, was so fun to watch. Looks extremely tense

I was in 12th on the second split until the last lap when I blew a front left.

Was great fun until then.

One of the most amazing races ive ever been in. Started 16th, finished 12th, in a battle with one driver for whole 250km, and we happen to live in same town lol.

Cant feel my arms or my arse now...but proud to have finished without a dent in the car!

I did a single stop as hadn't done much practice and thought single would be ok. Made 30 laps on first stint so not sre why the tyre blew on the second stint.

I had some great battles through the race and could barley walk after. I haven't raced much leately and the races I've done have been fairly short so was knackered after the race. Then I had to have lunch with my in laws which meant me and my father in law drinking 3 bottles of red Tough sunday for me.

Ah! I did a few laps practice the night before, and had some experience with this track months ago when it and then V8 were released, so knew that although its possible to one stop that kind of distance, its also a big gamble on tyres. And in the practice session before the race i watched a guy do 29laps and blow his tyres, so that made my mind for me, two stops. Stopped on lap 19 and 37 if i recall, running 53.3L of fuel each time, which gave me some room to move with strategy.

My arms ached for hours after...i had prepared before the race, with a drink bottle next to me as i know from past experience you can get damn hot and sweaty in races like this, but the race was so intense that i didnt even pick up the drink once during the race, was just too busy behind the wheel...even doing anti roll and brake bias adjustments as fuel levels burned down was hard enough!

Its racing events like this that will always have me coming back to iracing!
