I've not had an active sub in many months and get bunches of beta mails, mostly from a certain site that had user emails stolen. Good stuff.
Makes me look forward to beta being over even more. :)

Tell me about it... haven't played in a year (despite having an active sub until recently... don't ask, I'm lazy and foolish), and get 2-3 phishing emails a day. I wish they would just FOAD.

I actually set up a mail filter chucking everything from blizzard into a Blizard scam folder.

I thought I was the only one who was too lazy to deactivate a subscription to a MMO. Granted, it's not WoW, but CoH/CoV.

But it's enough that I still get occasional emails saying that my Aion account had been hacked and I'll be banned if I didn't click this link and enter my details. NEVERMIND THE FACT I DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT.

I used to stay subbed even if I was only playing once every week or two. Now I unsub if I go a week without playing or wanting to play but not having time, etc.
Most MMOs these days are good about not deleting your stuff if you go away for a while. Makes sense to save the money. Can always come back and pick up where you left off. :)

I get the occasional Aion scam as well. Didn't think it was doing so well that people would bother but I guess someone must be playing it!

Ahhh tell me about it... my friend got whispered in-game that he got into beta.

He, not knowing much about scams etc, decided to copy the link and visit the site... Not a surprise that the next time he logged in there was an authenticator on his account and all his gear had] to be retrieved by blizzard.

Well that's bad luck, if anyone wants me to check their account to see if they've been scammed PM your details, i'll add the real beta to your accounts.
