Left 4 Dead goes to Disneyland

Unread postby News Portal » 6 Jul 10, 8:59 am

Anybody can make a gripping, thrilling, thoroughly tested and fine tuned [app=1658]Left 4 Dead[/app] map – well, alright, no they can't. But there are enough clever modders out there that the holy grail of a good map isn't that exciting anymore, whereas a complete recreation of the Indiana Jones: Temple of the Forbidden Eye ride at Disneyland? That's cool.

as if it doesnt trigger a massive zombie horde on his way out of the ride....or an army of hunters.

Having ridden this ride, its a pretty damn accurate representation! Except, the real ride is 100x bumpier and is actually.. fun :P

They have done that really well. Might have to DL it and give it a go. I like how the guy goes up the Fast Pass line at the start too :)

Really shows how Disney hide their lines. Just when you think you're getting close the the start of the ride, the line goes in a completely diff direction.... Used to be the ride of the 4 hour wait at one point.

Would be cool running around it filled with the horde!!!

That's some awesome modeling and texturing for a custom map.

Only things that lacked detail in that video were the crawling bugs on the wall (although understandably hard to do) and the plain look of the actual coaster. (must be really hard to do vehicle interiors in L4D, like the crappy bumper cars in the official maps).
