Win! 5 copies of ARMA II Operation Arrowhead

Unread postby News Portal » 30 Jun 10, 10:41 am

Ready up troops. Tomorrow is the release date for the standalone exapansion [app=6063]ARMAII: Operation Arrowhead[/app], and we're headed to the rolling desert hills of Afghanistan Takistan. If you're unfamiliar with the series, think Battlefield meets Microsoft Flight Simulator, a hardcore sim approach to large, open-world warfare. An even better way to get familiar with the series is to win one of the five copies we've got up for grabs.

Nothing better then lying down in the long grass 1500 meters away from your victim and watching his head explode after pulling the trigger :D

Perfect for any situation, always ready to fire. One of the best pieces of military hardware made. What better way to make a headshot?

Tradition, Power, Authority.

The D-30 Howitzer is designed for the Distinguished Gentleman at war. Operational matters are handled by the butler and his wife, and the option to mount it to a T-34 Tank allows the chauffeur to have fun.

And all whilst sipping tea in the command tent.

Brilliant.

I would take the Kamov-52 helicopter - Playing Black Shark has taught me the basics of flying the KA-50, so using 52 will be a breeze. I'll be able to get across the battlefield quickly, take down enemy armour, rotary winged aircraft, hidden infantry and AA defences etc.
What can change the nature of a man?

More distance, more destruction, mortar.

While those suckers on the front-line are busy dodging bullets, I'll be hanging back, having a cup of tea, eating biscuits and raining down hell from above.

Guns are cool... But blowing stuff up is a LOT more satisfying 8)

M24 with silencer,

Because it makes a "pew" sound by it's self, so that saves me some time by not having to go "pewpewpewpewp"

The in-game mortar strike is fantastic. But not quite as fantastic as the in-game artillery strike.

I would take with me a FN FAL, a tried and true firearm. Which many consider perfect. It's got high stopping power and range. The Australian's took it to the indo-china wars including Vietnam.

Just hearing it go off can make a grown man cry.

There is nothing like returning incoming fire at 4,200 rounds per minute.

You can run but I'm about to turn your hiding place into a blazing inferno!

I'd use the AH-6X ULB (Unmanned Little Bird). Because robots are so awesome that they may be considered cheating. And the other thing:

"Yo dawg, I heard you like helicopters, so I put UAV controls in your Apache so you can fly a helicopter while you fly a helicopter."

Podnos 2B14, because then I can use captured US ammo, and they can't use mine.
