With the FTP on the unlimited trial how far in levels can you actually progress? I have started a character on Volk Order side a Archmage at lvl7 just seeing whether its worth paying for? I noticed in WaR chat some players where saying a lot of servers are still almost empty. I chose Volk as it seems a name that keeps popping up in player chats.

From Playing WoW and then going in WaR the Pvp environment seems better as everyone works in a group and understand there roles. As a Archmage i could Heal and DPS so i was virtually a support role. Graphics reminded me of Lotro nice crisp and bright colors. Knowing that Chaos is more powerful its amazing why they have not tried a balancing system in only allowing Order to be Created or vice versa. With only allowing paying customers to chooses there own side.

Overall i like it ,so far.

fair warning, when you go out of tier 1 (levels 1-11) you will probably find a big drop off in population in tiers 2 and 3 during australian primetimes. During US times, ie daytime for us, it'll be fairly popular.

Most of the oceanic population went to Volkmar when the Aus servers got merged. Lately though there's been a big off a lull in oceanic time on Volk though, may pick up again. WAR seems to have these weird tier 4 (lvls 32-40) population cycles where one side sort of disappears and the other gets huge zergs going.

Maybe thats why they made it FTP in the lower lvls. Still thinking about maybe paying for 2 months just see how far it goes. I am playing on Volkmar on Order side, Chaos seems the winner side with RvR very active.

Even in the WAR forums there is talk of players returning ,but then again there was a thread saying there maybe another server merge.
