GON: Atkinson’s negative opinion towards gamers has been reinforced by death threats and general childish behaviour. Do you think that gamers have taken the wrong action in targeting Atkinson as the enemy? It doesn’t seem that anyone has tried simply discussing the matter with him; do you think this would be a better course of action?

Kat: Lots of people have tried discussing it with him. Lots of people have tried sending him emails. I have had people show me their emails seeking to come to constructively find a solution to the matter and they’ve received angry, irrational replies full of sweeping generalisations. When people have said he shouldn’t let his personal religious beliefs intrude on decisions that affect the whole nation, Atkinson will jump on it and say – and this is a word-for-word quote - “I’m sorry you hate people who have spiritual beliefs so much that you are opposed to their participation in civic life.”

I have tried emailing him as the youth minister in my church and he also been unreasonable to me. I have come from his own point of view... I am on his team.. I'm one of him.. and he is unwilling to enter reasonable discussion with me, just sending rants and unreasonable, illogical nonsense... the same **** everybody else gets.

When I pointed out that I'm one of these no-good blood lusting drug addicted gamer types, he stopped replying. He refuses to reply to any of my emails.

He is only happy when he's trolling and flaming gamers.

lol, had a funny idea of him releasing a book titled 'You got Trolled' or something along those lines

nice interview, never really been interested in checking out some of G4C other policies mostly since they are not im my electorate, but they seem more well rounded than i assumed they were, so might become a member or something

In the article, one of the quote boxes I think is supposed to contain the actual words from Atkinson accusing gamers as being criminals, but instead you just quoted what Chris said in the article, directly after he said it.

"And in terms of his engagement with people, he won’t! We are the first people to actively engage with him on the issue, and he basically called us criminals."

I think it's just a real badly placed highlight box.
