Status: On hiatus.

Unfortunately I spent about 2 weeks looking into some more than my level advanced maths, getting info/ideas from friends from all over (programmers, maths PHD students, father-physics/maths teacher). I haven't yet been able to find a solution to an important issue... well I have an idea it is just finding the time to implement it into the game that is holding me back.

Since I have been working night shifts pretty much full time for the last month or so after the hectic "busy family time", I had to put this on hold.

However in a few weeks I shall begin working on it a bit more. *crosses fingers*

I just started studying c++ this year and i'll definitely be interested in doing some stuff online with people, however not for a while, haha.

I've had a copy of DarkBASIC sitting around for years, was too young to really be able to make any use of it, but maybe i'll revisit it soon.

you using standard or pro?

I'm currently fiddling around with GLUT in C++ while building a game similar to geometry wars that implements genetic AI. No special graphics, just different coloured squares and lines. I've just started my code rewrite and design, because my first attempt ended up with a neat-ish but convoluted single source file (not much was implemented either).

note to self: separate out various types of methods into different files!

Yes and no.

If you are after something that is kinda basic scripting language that can put out some decent looking programs, than yes. It is great to quickly throw out an idea to show people.

However most other hard code languages are better and will give you more freedom and flexibility.

My friend Papai's game that he created (http://games.on.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=237&t=160665) was made with Darkbasic and Max
