Looking for a holiday project... anyone else?

Unread postby TheMeadow » 1 Dec 08, 11:28 pm

So, Im on uni holidays and well.. I'd be keen to do some sort of game. Since well everyone I met in the industry says that is the best way to go about showing off what you got.

We could make an awesome prototype/game from Darkbasic (I can code in that 2d sprites/2.5d/3d sorta stuff. most sounds/image files work with it and can get 3ds max models working too. Havent got multiplayer/network play, however I think a uni mate cracked it or I might spend the holidays looking more into that)

Thinking something fun and wacky.

Anyone else around and as bored as me? If not chances are I'll be working on something and keep you posted ;)

Would like to help, but i've never used Darkbasic before.
Also the only programming language i know is c++ and i'm still a beginner at that.

Good luck though.

Wish I could help you but I don't really have drawing skills. Or sound or even programming at the moment. :(

Good luck though.

Well, I can get more darkbasic scripter mates who are bored as well from uni.
and if we can get some people on some visual side of things... then everyone else can pitch in ideas ;)

Not thinking anything until next week though :D

I can possibly assist with some attempts at low-poly modelling, but I fail at UVW mapping.
