Now he's met EVE, a sleek search robot, and has discovered a new purpose in life other than collecting knick-knacks. EVE has realised that WALL-E has accidentally uncovered the key to the planet's future and has raced back into space to report her findings to the humans (who have been waiting for news that it's safe to return home). WALL-E doesn't want to be left behind and chases EVE across the galaxy, sparking noe of the most creative and exciting computer comedy adventures ever.

Brings up a Trojan warning when I try and download it.

First false positive I've ever gotten from Avast, used to get them all the time with AVG.

Its not Internode cos I tried downloading from Gamearena and had the same Trojan alert.

Viruses from the future?

I am using Avast and never got any alert. After reading your post I specifically re-scanned the file as welll and still no alert

Probably caught it off a prostitute robot from the future:

Did the usual Crap cleaner, Adaware, Spybot and virus scan, nothing came up.

Maybe its not a false positive, thinking the act of downloading this file is triggering a virus I've already got and can't detect.

Goes like this:
when i click save on the link for wall-e demo

virus found win323 trojan

C:\DOCUME~1\nat\LOCALS~1\Temp\PieGD2Vd.exe.part <---- tried a few times, this file changes

click delete virus

then Firefox crashes

then when i click 'end now on an unresponsive program'

virus found win32 trojan

C:\Documents and Settings\nat\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\8nr2oeft.default\Cache\246DEA4Dd01 <----- this number also changes each time

click delete virus

then another virus found

Well I finally got around to installing the demo last night, and I don't know if Avast had updated since I downloaded the demo but I also got the Trojan alert as well toadsmoker

Anyone using any anti-virus other than Avast had the same problem?

I'm using NOD32, which I trust better than Avast, no problems here - installs and plays fine!

I'm guessing it is a false positive as different sources of downloads produced the same alert. I wont bother with dling different AV programs, but if NOD32 didnt pick it up, it COULD be just a false positive.

For the paranoids, just dont dl if your well still unsure.

For me, I'll take the choice of false-positive and dl it WALLLLLLEEEEEEEEE

Downloading this now. I have to say that WALL-E has an amazing art style, I am very excited for it come out.

Symantec Endpoint Protection has also identified the wall-e_demosetup.exe file as the Ardakey keylogger with its 1 Ausust 2008 definitions... even though the demo works fine...
