For the key packets prob i thought it might be because i'm 5 days away from end of month download limit. the initilisation one i've only had once where my PING was goin psycho between 20 and 800, and the 10min server lag i read before is because i need to update PB??? I've been playing for a couple of weeks now i think so i haven't picked up about all the different updates.

Losing key packets is most probably because your internet is capped, as you say you are near the end of your month.

Initialisation was probably some random bug.

Lag for 10 minutes at start of game - how much RAM do you have in your computer?

512MB, one of my admin mates told me i should get a minimum 2gb so i'm gonna do that next time i'm in adelaide.

Are you asking a question??

If you are, you have already answered yourself i think.

Have you gone over your download and have you updated pb lately??

Nope dunno where to do it, but I'm gonna investigate that just now.

If you are getting these problems since installing Vista you'll need to configure the shortcut to run the program as an administrator..
So right click on your BF2 shortcut and go properties. Click the "Compatibility" tab and then tick the box next to "Run this program as an Administrator"..
Other problems with drop outs and lag could possibly be put down to Telstra's dodgy copper cabling.. If your using ADSL2, check with your ISP to see if your line sync has been lost at all over the past month, you may need the connection slowed down to gain reliability.

:grrr:
Problems with Vista???
Microsoft will be renaming this software, in the future, to 'Crapstar'.
Uses twice the RAM of XP and it's only draw card is DirectX10.
MS said that XP couldn't handle DX10 ... but they're renowned liers.
A few guys have developed the software that'll enable DirectX10 in XP. HOOAAH!
:nofear:
Sry this is off topic, but I couldn't help myself.

so does that mean if you are having losing key packets issue, theres nothing you can do about it but to wait till end of the month and get your quota resetted? I'm already capped and still have got 2.5weeks to go till reset. Keep getting kicked for losing key packets. annoying!

Pretty much!

You can buy data blocks of your provider, unless you're Bigpond, who i dont think do that.
