Empires Mod 1.04 Released for Half-life 2

The Empires Mod Team have just released the 1.04 beta of their popular mod for Halfe-Life 2, Empires.

For those you haven't heard of Empires It has elements of First Person Shooter as well as elements of Real Time Strategy. Of course if you aren't any good at following a Commander's orders this isn't the game for you. The game also include vehicles buildings and the ability to upgrade.

This is a blast. Sort of a fps cross between C&C and BF2.

yeah played the 1.01 beta and it looked promising, some of you guys should give this a whirl, but we need a co-ordinated effort to populate the server!

It's pretty sad when mod teams spend months, and often over a year working on mods and no one plays them. This mod looks pretty cool.

This is a bit old and should be updated, they are currently on 1.06

Awesome game and since they started on 1.0 they have improved heaps on their code to allow more vehicles, buildings etc with minimal lattency.

Well empires 2.0 just got released today and im not sure where to post this but it would be good to have an australian mirror for the file and a server, especially since this new release has been years in the making the old mod was great.

I'd recommend at least get The Orange Box.
or just HL2 itself from Steam... that'd be cheaper I guess.

No credit card excuse either, the PayPal function is pretty good, i've used it couple of times.... i.e. it's only the god damned 9th and i'm looking at being shaped by the end of the week
