Quest Items and Auctions

Recently there has been a increase in people auctioning off quest items.

Our policy is not to encourage the sale of quest items. The devs go through painfull hours and hours of toolset to make the quests for everyone to enjoy. The rewards for you completing the quest are a but a little way of encouraging feedback on the popularity of quests and the results to them. The sale of such items depriving others of the quest use is trivializing their work.

Auctioning the quest rewards off (however minor they seem) is not encouraged and they will be removed from your auction.

If you would like non drop quest items removed from your inventory to make space or no use for them, Just ask a DM and they will happily remove the item for you.

I was recently told that under no circumstances would Brock's Weapon or the Cloak be removed from a players' inventory. Could you please confirm this.

What about shops ? I've seen quest items for sale in shops sometimes.

i think part of the problem here is that people don't necessarily realise that they have quest items in their auctions...

is there a list of quest items anywhere people could use as reference when setting up auctions?

As this is not allowed as per the rules and if they list it them.
They are looking to brake the rules and them what no BAN ??

Even if they donot know they are quest items it is still a banable thing or not.

If you advertise it in an auction, your post will be editied.

So while if its non drop you might sell it in game and get away with it, it is discouraged big time, as well as being gainst the spirit of Edon.

If its not non drop, well your stuck with it, unless a friendly DM removes it for you.

DM's are permitted to remove all items including braveheart cloak and weapon.


As stated. The practice is discouraged and your post in forums will be edited and a pm sent as to why. Sure some people dont know. Hence it is only edited and pm sent no further action.

Selling the droppable quest items in merchant stores is in game. We prefer it wouldnt happen but at this time it is harder to police. So it would be prefered that merchants work with the dev team and not sell quest items but if they do then they do.

This announcement is directed at forum posts mainly.
