Ornal Pass Giants Mysteriously Slain

The bodies of two mountain giants were found early this morning but their cause of death remains a mystery. The only marks on both are a small discolouration that, according to authorities, looks to be an impact mark. However, their skin remained unbroken and no projectiles were found nearby. Expert opinion is that the two were caught completely by surprise and killed in an instant.

Of concern is that their meagre treasure was left on their bodies. From this, authorities have deduced they were either killed as some form of experiment or possibly because the pair simply happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

When questioned, local man Jert Bendry denied any knowledge of what had happened though he was grateful the hostile beings had been dealt with. "Their kind is always causin' trouble," he was heard to assert.

Helios authorities have expressed a wish to speak to anybody who was in the area of Ornal Pass yesterday. Although they have claimed publicly that no specific individuals are being sought, one source has told this reporter that he did see a number of well-known "personalities" travel through the city gate only hours before whatever it was took place.

While this reporter does not condemn the slaying of such beings, the question of how they were killed is of concern. Is this some dark magic at work? Or something even worse?

Renny "Very high Druid of standing" heard a bird tell of a mouse, who was seen trying to contact the scourge.

Seems the bird said something about some High all Mighty Folks in Helios need to be taken down a notch or three.

Alandor Rastaine and Friar the monk stumbled upon two strange portals north of Fakualt. Upon approaching these portals, which are blue and yellow in variety, a small army of Scourge would materialize -- the portals appear to remain active, and adventurers are advised to use caution should they encounter one.

Additionally, Alandor and Rammar Clemero discovered a strange black crate outside the entrance of the Beholder caves in Kabu. They swear it wasn't there when they entered...

Finally, Jick "Jicky Baby" Ontari reports the discovery of an odd, somewhat sinister statue tucked in the deepest depths of Dam'moor, and suggests checking it out.

This could be all rumour but....I heard from my mates brothers, wife's second cousin, twice removed!!...

I heard that the Horse Trader just outside of those ruins...you know..what was once Zeigan..I heard that he was nearly Scourge bait.

Seems a horde of them began appearing out of thin air and taking all his good stock mares...

Lucky there was a small force from Helios that saved the Trader and his remaining brood....

I heard he's thinking about relocating....I'm not sure but I think it was Tobaro...or was that Trondor!!

While disposing of Kloxar, Alandor and Arkuel were purportedly assailed by a group of Scourge assassins resembling the shades found near the shadow dragons in Fakualt.

As of today the city of TOBARO has installed a dwarven air defence system
by creating the first ever "Dwarven Airforce".

"Note to citizens" Peanuts may appear to fall from the sky but do not be allarmed, it is just the airforce doing midair eating manouvers.

It is rumored that as of late, nobles across Edon are being assassinated more than usual. Nobody has managed to get a good look at the killer, though one guard has claimed to catch a glimpse of the killer as he (or she) was jumping out of the window of an estate to escape, saying something about "silver wings"...


Perhaps more disturbing, small villages across Edon are having their entire populations butchered, with their corpses placed in... rather imaginative and creative positions everywhere, many of them with their heads removed and placed on wooden or metal spikes or spears. The killer has not been identified, and - strangely enough - has not been able to be tracked.


Strange writings are also found, written in the blood of the villagers, but in another language nobody has been able to decipher yet.
