Just read that on another site Clownius, massive shock. And yeah from what I know it's a more serious version of Borderlands. Hopefully iD will realize how important ded servers are and delay the release if needed so they can add support for them.

I think it quite obvious at this point they want it to be a console only game. They have limited it so much its really nothing more than borderlands now.Sad, since I really quite enjoyed cod4, but oh well saves me over 100$.

Even if it was MW2 with an id spin, I'd have much less of an issue if they went that way with it. Why? Because Rage ain't coming out any time soon. So it's not like they're springing this on us weeks before release.

If it's "seriousface" Borderlands and thus a small number and designed more for co-op anyway? It won't really need dedicated servers, just a workable means of connecting gamers together. Forwarding 4+ non-sequential ports is not something gamers of any stripe should need to bother with for one game.

im just gonna buy this for xbox360, since everyone else is, and also i never had any major lag with WAW or COD4 playing with yanks/brits etc.

Would be good to see 18 node players on the one server, as unlikely that is. (heck, I wonder what the odds would be of that ever happening). lol :roll:

Surely IW.net wont be just in America? You think they would have one or more set up in each country so it maximises game playability and if you choose to want to play with other players from another country you have that option?
