Call of Duty rules - updated 20/1/2012

These rules are specific to all Games.on.net Call of Duty Servers.

These rules are in addition to Games On Net general rules, which can be found here;

These rules are in place to make the game enjoyable for everyone and ensure everyone is aware of acceptable and unacceptable behavior whilst playing on GamesOnNet Call of Duty servers.

By playing on our servers you agree to abide by these rules.

1. Names
Names must NOT contain abusive language, derogatory or racial slurs. Players caught using names that include abusive, racial or derogatory comments will be permanently banned from all GamesOnNet Call of Duty Servers. Any name deemed inappropriate by an Admin may earn you a kick or ban from our servers. Please use at least 3 alpha/numeric characters in your name. It can be hard for your team to see you're on their side if you don't (And Punkbuster will kick you).

2. Cheating

There is no excuse for cheating and you will be banned permanently. This includes Aimbots, Wallhacks and Chams. Players caught using hacks of any kinds will be banned permanently from all GamesOnNet Call of Duty servers.

3. Racial, Prejudice and Sexist remarks
Racial, prejudice and sexist remarks are not welcome nor tolerated on GamesOnNet. Players caught exhibiting these types of behavior will be banned from all GamesOnNet Call of Duty Servers.

4. Exploits - outside the map boundaries, reload glitching, window glitching, trick jumping , scroll fire etc...
Any exploit/glitch is a bannable offense as it is exploiting the game - Just don't do it, it can lead to permanent bans. If you're not sure if something is allowed or not, stay on the safe side and don't do it.

We will ban for any obvious script/macro/binds which allows you to gain an obvious advantage.

5. Foul language and bad behavior
Please keep it clean. There are a diverse range of users of GamesOnNet servers and to ensure an enjoyable playing experience for all, foul and offensive language is not welcome. If directed to refrain from using this type of language by an administrator, take heed. Continuing to use foul or offensive language will get you kicked or banned from the server. Don't spam the in-game chat. This will earn you a warning or ban.

Baiting others into killing themselves by suggesting they use a certain console command is also frowned upon and may result in a kick or ban.

6. Spamming the console, team or global chat

Spamming the console, team or global chat systems in game is not acceptable. This includes repeated use of binds and team/global chat. Continual spam can earn you a holiday.

7. Team Killing, Spec nading, Public annoyance etc
Team killing ruins the game for everyone and is not acceptable on GamesOnNet Call of Duty Servers. This includes spec-nades/C4/Clays. Deliberate teamkillers will be dealt with harshly. In S&D, deliberate teamkilling at spawn may result in a kick or ban. Public annoyance includes things such as door blocking and team killing.

8. Spawn Camping
Camping directly outside an enemy spawn area so as to prevent the enemy team from entering the game is not acceptable behavior.

This extends to spawn-tubing on SD servers. You may be warned/kicked or even banned for tubing the enemy spawn in the first 5 seconds of a round.

9. Porn, Hacks, Shock and Inappropriate Websites

Posting the link or mentioning the name of a pornographic, hack or inappropriate web site or video (or any link deemed to be offensive) is not permitted and will warrant a ban, quite often permanently and with out warning.

10. Stacking
This is defined as joining the winning team so that the winning team then outnumbers the losing team or joining a team (for whatever reason) such that the team you join outnumbers the opposing team by more than 1. This includes all players from a specific clan joining the same side. As clan members are more then likely using Teamspeak/Ventrilo, this creates an unfair advantage to the team and is considered "skill stacking". Skill stacking is also an issue if the scores are very uneven (ie 8-0) for the teams. It is expected that someone on the winning team would help out the losing team (unless impossible due to team numbers) however no one person can be at fault or singled out in this scenario. Be nice however and help out a team that is not doing so well. Bear in mind that this will be enforced at the admin's discretion. Of course, we understand that friend's want to be on the same team, just make sure that if you are asked to move, you do.

11. Administrator/Console abuse and impersonation.

Administrators put their time and effort into this community as VOLUNTEERS; they are not paid to do this. They perform this job to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience for all GamesOnNet users. Commenting in a negative way on an administrators ability to perform administrative tasks, disrespecting or abusing an administrator directly is not tolerated and may earn you a ban. It is up to the banning admin to determine the length, bearing in mind GamesOnNet's policy is to make it permanent in the first instance. We of course don't mind feedback, whether it's positive or negative, and the best place to do this is the forums. Administrator/Console impersonation is also prohibited. Using an admin's name, claiming to be one or impersonating "console" will earn you a permanent holiday.

Information on bans and submitting troublemaker reports
Note: Ban lengths will vary depending on the severity of the offense and repeat offenders can expect their bans to increase in length each time. The ban length for any infringement on these rules is at the discretion of the GamesOnNet CoD administrator group.

If you receive 3 bans (in total) for any series of offenses your 3rd ban will remain permanently on all GamesOnNet Call of Duty servers.
