I dunno if its been mentioned, but GoN should really do a feature article with this. The project is obviously popular with 20k+ backers already and 17 days left. They will probably hit their target 900k in 1-2days too. But i really want to see as many stretch goals as possible met.

That shacknews article makes me happy in the pants.

40-player battles, server/client architecture. Possible persistent battles, clan battles *droooooool*

I really hope so, I really want to see what the next ones are as well!

I'm hoping we can turn moons into death stars. I've built a giant "lay-zer" on the moon...

Assuming linear growth (continues at the same rate its going at), they will probably end up around the 1.8m mark.

yeah, this game has so much potential, especially given its made for the fans. If it s hugely successful on launch they will get even more money to improve/add to the game. Heck they could even start up another kickstarter after the launch to make an expansion pack to see if people want even more.

I'm not sure how well that would go down with the public but I would be happy to lay down more cash for an expansion/DLC

EDIT: Under 20k to go

I am tipping between 1.3 - 1.5m max

It has slowed down massively though, it hit the $500,000 soooo quickly and now it's tapered a bit. I suspect though the news story that are slowly seeping out into the internet are doing their part too :)

If the game is really successful they may be able to use some funds from profits, but I doubt they would have enough. The uber devs said they might release DLC of stretch goals later if they aren't reached now.

Well i was assuming constant growth over the whole period, which is not really likely. IMO it could go 2 ways - it continues at a steady rate and gets to around ~1.5m, or it drops off and goes to <1.3m. Then in the last week a bunch of places like GoN publish articles they could get a massive influx of pledges from people who were previously unaware. Who knows how much they could get then?
