STEAM SALES STARTED

ERMAHGERD! Sorry for caps, but, excited...
Link for the lazy: https://store.steampowered.com/

Servers are pretty much down at the moment, you know, excited people essentially DDoS'ing the server with 1000's of connections. but, if and when anyone sees this, it will probably be in ~5 hours at acceptable, and normal 'awake' hours. Me, being the crazy nocturnal pirate I am, thought I'd post now. derp derp ... :o

It's shown as available and unavailable for me, changes when I refresh the page. I can get up to the review and purchase phase so it looks buyable. I don't want to buy it though seeing as I already own 4 of the 5 games.

Did buy all the Shogun 2 things for $40 all up though. Been looking forward to playing it.

Now comes the internal struggle of 'buy now or wait for a better deal'.

I'm holding out until Arma 2 combined ops gets a bit cheaper, maybe the walking dead (loved the show) and then i'll just pick up what ever I find for cheap. Could even get your Secret Steamy Santa presents early, presuming that's happening this year (HOPE SO WYLD!)

Its s'posed to be the plan for the week or so. Enjoy. Its been right so far.

$23 isn't cheap enough for the most comprehensive and enjoyable milsim ever made?

I've paid $89 for games that I haven't enjoyed anywhere near as much as DayZ, ARMA2 Combined Ops is worth $50 easily, at $23 its a damned bargain and if DayZ wears thin, there are many more mods and the original game to try.

*runs to look at Steam*

Its Steam. It will get cheaper, that I can guarantee. And if not, then i'll pick it up on the last day. No harm done.

Hmmm.

I'm somewhat flat out right now .. but .. I could be convinced to run one :)

I'll be wanting to automate things a bit more .. will look into a few options today, and see what's viable and quick.

If so, yeah, I'd be happy to run a Secret Steamy Winterish Santa ;)

If .. people want me to ..

Well, would be awesome having a winter one. Or we could just save em for summer. Your call. Don't need to have it now, we can all wait for Christmas to come back around. But it would be even bigger with the 3FL crew joining us recently, and a nice way to introduce the new members :D
But I don't think there will be a lack of people wanting to do the Secret Santa again.

Oh boy I love Steam Sales. Cheat sheet for those not willing to go to Steam. I know 3FL regs used it a bit the last time I did it, so GON might appreciate too.

Franchise sales will give a discount on all games in the franchise. They're listed first. All other games listed in alphabetical order. I'll update each day with all new games. If there's any information you'd like in the posts, just ask.

REMEMBER: Only buy games once discounted. If we get to July 23rd and the game you're after hasn't been discounted, then buy it by all means, but until then, hold off. The same goes for a deal you missed - hold on until the last day, because Steam loves to have an encore sale on the final day.

Crusader Kings II - $9.99 - 75% off Franchise
Might & Magic: Heroes VI - $27.49 - 50% off Franchise
Portal 2 - $4.99 - 75% off Franchise
Total War: Shogun II - $7.49 - 75% off Franchise

Call of Duty MW3 - $49.99
Indie Bundle I - $9.99 - Feat. Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Cave Story +, Edge, Lone Survivor, The Baconing.
Legend of Grimrock - $5.99
Ridgeracer: Unbounded - $24.99
Terraria - $2.49

Flash Sales (found lower down the page, below the Community Choice votes):

Mafia II - $7.49
Rayman: Origins - $19.96
Spacechem - $2.49
Warlock: Master of the Arcane - $7.49

Community's Choice: Saints Row the Third - $12.49 (This deal will be new every 8 hours)

Votes for next choice:
75% off Limbo
75% off Magicka
75% off Trine 2

EDIT: It appears there are also 4 more sales lower down the page next to the bestseller's list. These are all on for less than 3 hours, so I'm not sure how fast they change. I've added them above.
