Never washed my headphone pads... I did, and the leather bit you tuck in is kinda eroded...

So I bought some new ones for $30.
A bit of a rip off IMO, but I need them ASAP so I can put them on my cans.

If the mic is ****, grab a pair of Logitech G35s (wired) or G930s (wireless) instead.

I own a pair of G35s, but I find them really uncomfortable. One of the reasons I first became interested in the Razer Tiamats is because I have a pair of Steelseries stereo headphones with the suspended band style head rest, which is incredibly comfortable. The Tiamats are the first surround headset I've seen that use that style.

Except G35s have **** terrible build quality. Mine are on their last legs in about a year. Material fallen off, joins are cracking... And I've not mistreated them either.

I never had a problem with the build quality, I just found them uncomfortable when worn for long periods. My brother still uses my old G35s with no problems and they must be a year or two old by now.

I've tried multi-driver 7.1 (this one and another I can't remember the name of) but it just didn't sound as good, probably because of the smaller drivers. Plus when you're listening to music you can just flick it off and have a normal listening experience (instead of it sounding like a sound stage unless you use speaker fill).

Personal preference as with all peripherals though.

The Tiamats have a switch on the in-line controls to disable 7.1 and switch to stereo, which improves the sound quality for when you're listening to music or whatever.

Honestly I'm a little disappointed with the expansion, it became a nightmare of potential rule bungles and annoyances instead of the frenetic pace of the original. Here's hoping a couple more playthroughs will change my mind.

Still love the basic board game though
