Living in the US or lucky enough to get a paid trip over there to cover E3?

Ah, I live in the U.S. It was a lengthy trip all the way out to Cali still, though. Looking forward to the day I can move out there permanently. Los Angeles is just a big parking lot, but it's where everything is.

I had my first trip to the US back in March for GDC in San Francisco and i freakin love it over there! The place seems so 'finished', as opposed to Europe which seems to old and Australia which seems so unfinished.

You better never come to Australia to drive in our biggests cities, LA is a dream to drive in compared to Sydney or Melbourne. I love the Interstate freeway systems there. Mind you I was driving from the hills down into valley when was there last.

I suppose the grass is always greener. My friend, Andy Corrigan - who also writes here in a freelance capacity - told me I'd much prefer the AUS or UK games industry. Apparently there's a lot of ego here, and while I seem to have found a good crowd of people, I can only imagine what's in store once I actually take the plunge and move out there.
