The site was pointed out to me (and by total coincidence I was also a Node customer at the time, I had no idea this place existed or about it all being quota free) by an American friend sending me a link from the file mirror. I lurked the site and forums for near three years before picking up the courage to register and start posting.

Loved the read OP, was really quite interesting.

So not old school with the gon community, but I do remember playing a the old Gon CS and DoD servers well before I joined. Wasn't much of a "community player" back then. I didnt actually join here until I finally shunned Tel$tra and became an internode customer.

Must say though <3 GoN and congrats on the milestone! I will be here in 10 years saying... Ohhh remember that time 10 years ago?

Forever been playing on the servers and I think one day something just irked me enough to make me post. I'm sure you all did something to deserve it. But I haven't been here anywhere near as long as most of you =(

I star it to to play games on Internode in 2006 be cos I was told it was the best server going so I came over played some games and was enjoying it until the day when I sent a remark to our "Chucky" did he let Rep into me and told me if I had any thing to say then register on the Internode Forum so I did in 2007 thank god I sorted it out with him did not no at that time that "Chucky" was a Admin LMAO;
So if its any ones fault that I'm hear its our "Chucky" God bless him

So now we can say Its 10 years I myself have had some good 7 years of that 10 well-don to everyone that has made "Internode" now "Games.On.Net" the best Gaming Server to play our games on ......

I remember A Mouse. He liked to play on +FF servers as "Pull grenade pin and sprint at enemy". He was highly entertaining, but I think the teamkills his gamestyle caused caught up with him.

I've been here a while. Like many others played on the servers first. Honestly can't remember why I joined the forums.

Hah anyone that had a problem with his TKs were complete sticklers. He was very good at what he did, it was always 1 vs 4-5 guys or an implaced MG, it wasnt as if the person he tked was going to survive anyway.

I'm not sure why it was permanent either? There was a TK ban bot on the servers dishing out temp bans.
