Ground Branch Kickstarter

John Sonedecker, one of the creators of the original Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games has started a kickstarter project for his game Ground Branch, in development by Blackfoot Studios. The game has been in development for a number of years now, with Sonedecker working on and off on the project while managing his own full time job.

"There are a lot of people that loved Red Storm Entertainment’s original Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear and Ghost Recon but the latest incarnations of those titles just aren’t what they want. To me, Ground Branch is for those people." -John Sonedecker

Good to see Ground Branch is still alive and being developed. It's been quite some time since the days of the more realistic squad based tactical shooters, besides the Project Reality mod and ARMA which is on a much larger scale with vehicles.
While there may only be Alpha footage, for a small currently self funded Indie studio they certainly have some great ideas and features.

The KickStarter goal is quite large; unfortunately the pledges aren't exactly rolling in at this stage.
It would be great to see Blackfoot Studios raise more funding, but it is tough being a niche and having to compete against other sought after FPS already on the market and still to be released.

Yeah judging by their from what they've raised so far, i'm doubting they'll make the target. Fingers crossed...the footage looks awesome. Like close quarters Arma.
