A British scientist has decided that carbon life is simply too boring to study, and in absence of any other known life he decided to make his own: OUT OF METAL.

If that did not blow your tiny little minds the researcher -- Lee Cronin of the University of Glasgow -- is convinced that the cells are EVOLVING! These metal cells are being called "inorganic chemical cells," or iCHELLs which, unfortunately, just make me thing of some kind of Apple corrupted Portal merchandise.
