Yeah there's a fat chance you will get anything. I waited for the cheap online stuff as they said there would be but only some crappy games and the Logitech G27 that was supposed to be discounted was full price.

Can I just say Ive worked for Dicksmith's in the passed, as an employee its like the only perk you get is to buy stuff from sales first...

You get treated like dirt from both the customers and the company alike...they deserve it more than you...and Im sure you get paid better than they do...

no issues with staff getting 1st dibs on sales but when staff do thisyeah we feel a bit cheated

Dude, just stop, there are so many jobs where you are allowed to browse while also doing work or waiting for work to come in. I used to browse and play flash games all the time when I worked at an internet helpdesk and I was allowed to browse as much as I wanted if there were no callers.

walked in and had a look at the local and ran into an old mate of mine who turns out to be the current store manager, he tells me they had $600 over the counter before 10 oclock...

considering the price of things and the look of the shelves he wasnt joking, he did say there was a lot of BS going on from customers tho, which is to be expected nowdays, i suppose...

picked up the witcher 2 for $15, kinda wanted deus ex, but ah well.


also i thought G27's were on sale, must have been G25's.... there was a whole bunch of driver gt's and G27's but nothing else..

Got myself a PS3, DSi, EarForce Delta and RE5 all up for about $260. Happy with that.
I was second in line and the guy in front of me bought the only 3 Xboxes that they had in stock, which sucked.
Would have been nice if they imposed a one of each thing per customer rule I think.

They really should have done that, It was disgusting watching people buy that stuff JUST to sell on Ebay for a quick buck. What about people who GENUINELY wanted the item(s)?

At my local DSE no hardware was on sale, was limited to games only with the full sale being moved to the 18th apparently.

Also, I don't see the problem with DSE employees getting the chance to buy what they want before anyone else can, they work there and are entitled to some benefits. The only problem I would have is if they bought ridiculous amounts of games/hardware and tried to sell it on afterwards.

I doubt they made any profit at all on sale items. If you see staff grabbing items it generally means they are selling under cost.
