STALKER - Gon night?

Hey all,

Would anyone be interested in joining in on a GON S.T.A.L.K.E.R Multiplayer night? Shadow of Chernobyl preferably, but Clear Sky or Call of Pripyat are also options. Thee_Stretchy can host a server, I can work on being able to host a server too if needed. I've already had a game with Thee_Stretchy, and STALKER mp is quite good (Particularly artifact hunt) - just think, you could be part of the only* stalker server in the southern hemisphere!

If enough people are interested I'll make a poll somewhere for what day of the week / times in general would be good. We can also figure out if we want to run mods like COMPLETE. I'm sure we could also organise some form of voice chat, I think in game has it but we could always use GON mumble server or something like that if we want.

So, are you game?

*We all know gamearena doesn't count! (har har, but actually their clear sky servers are forever broken)

We'll see, SOC is probably going to be the choice, but I guess majority rules in the end? Once we've chosen what game / what night I'll see if I can organise some way for us to communicate, perhaps a steam group or a mumble spot. If we want to use mumble I'll find out who I need to bribe to get a special slot on the gon mumble server

edit: SOC 1.0005 or 1.0006? Complete Yay or Nay?

I'm keen for a game. The only question I have is, does it matter if I have mods installed? Or does it need to be vanilla?

I know myself and Thee_Stretchy would like to use Complete 1.4.4 (Just had a game then, quite an improvement esp. for nighttime lighting), but if you guys would rather do Vanilla we could do that too. I might start up a poll in the stalker forum for what night we should have this on, and then we can figure out what times.

We'll see, I can play any. So far most people seem to have SoC.

Sure does, it's pretty good too, love the ballistics and feel of the guns, plus playing with COMPLETE mod on really makes the various weather cycles very interesting and fun to play with. Small map, Nightime, lighting and tracer rounds makes for some very kickass gameplay.
