What game did you finish today?

I finally got around to starting, and finishing Portal 2. Was a lot of fun, and I didn't get stuck on as many puzzles as I did in the original. And as always, the humour was excellent.

Co-op most certainly is funsies. Co-opping myself with a mate from work, 5 hours in and it's still great fun.
Hit the first level we couldn't beat in one try today, took 3 tries.

EYE.

Googled all the possible endings after. Definitely made a lot more sense, and a massive "well played" to the devs. Well played indeed.

Anyone want to play it co op?

Metal Gear Solid 3 (HD Version). First time I played a Metal Gear game and I can see why the series is so highly acclaimed.

God of War 3. Combat was much improved from previous iterations, you could actually fight bigger bad guys with strategy now yay! :D Though it felt like the overall number of combos had been lowered. Story was a bit 'eh' though, mostly just god killing and I hated the changes they did from the previous game with Athena and the Titans. Storywise I don't feel they knew what they wanted to do with it. It just didn't have that grand adventure feel to it like the previous games did and frankly the PS2 games felt bigger in scale (first time you see Ares, climbing Cronos's back, the two horse statues in GoW2 etc). Oh and the failed promise of epic scale battles, we got a grand total of two and that was it, what even happened to the Titans and the war? You were always stuck in small caves just about. :S

But regardless, still a pretty good game and I look forward to Ascension.

Saints Row 3. Very entertaining. I finished half of it when I first bought it. Then figured I'd wait to do it coop with someone, but got sick of waiting and just did it.

Just finished Fall of Cybertron. It was pretty awesome, but I wouldn't recommend if you aren't a fan of the franchise, it would just be another generic TPS game.

I loved what they did with Grimlock.

Just finished Borderlands. I see now what Is meant by the average ending. Also quite random.

Just finished HL2 also. Probably because I never played HL1 I don't know what just happened. I might go read up on the story.

Yeah playing the original would've helped you understand the ending, and the beginning. >_>

Even after reading the story from HL1, HL2 seems just as random. I don't know, I'll give Ep1 a shot as well. Apparently that's supposed to be even more 'awesome' :P

Now to get around to playing Skyrim and finishing Ys Origin.

What about it seems random? The big 'random' issue to me between the two would've been how utterly different they are. Take 'Half Life' out of the title and you wouldn't even know that HL2 was HL's sequel. And a lot of people didn't like Ep1 for some reason but I personally found it to be a massive improvement over HL2.

Supreme Commander. More nukes! Oh, you have nuke defence? Have 10 more nukes! Man I love that game, far from the first time I've played through the campaign and I play it a different way every time. Last time through I tested Stalins old addage of "Quantity has a quality all its own" and sent waves of literally hundreds of tier 1 units at the enemy. Effective, but not efficient...
