My goal this week is to run a singleplayer campaign mission, complete the objective, then land successfully.

There are a few things I need to be able to learn to do this, and I'm well on my way with most of them;

* use my radio stack successful to communicate with JTAC, TACAN and ILS
* successfully enter a 9-line, particularly for AA targets
* multi-JDAM and Maverick deployment (as in, lock up several targets then launch missiles/bombs in quick succession)

I'll report back :D

Also adding that I finally got around to finishing BioShock 2. So glad I did. The level as a little sister blew my mind as did the ultimate ending to the game. Just the entire visual presence of the game does my head in, every time I turned a corner I wanted to take a screenshot.

Bioshock 2 was really a step up from the first imo. That's why it's my favourite. It's just hard to describe, you really need to play it right through.

I somewhat disagree. I don't believe it was a step up but it wasn't a step back either. That's why I struggled to finish it, I felt like I was playing the first Bioshock.

Don't get me wrong, Bioshock is superb and has remained in my top 5 games since finishing it when it came out, but Bioshock 2 felt exactly the same, somewhat uninspired and I felt very little was done to advance the series. I don't know, I just seemed to get bored of Bioshock 2 quite quickly while the first held my attention until the final cut scene.

Because of my personal gripes with Bioshock 2, my hopes for Infinite aren't exactly high.

I can't convince you, because if I told you about it then it just wouldn't be awesome.

It would be like me telling you why Jacob's Ladder or Donnie Darko is awesome, it would ruin it. You just have to trust me. Play it, and play it all the way through.

I get why people like DayZ but I honestly feel like i've just wasted a day of my life today playing it. The least they could do is allow you to group with others (friends) and have the respawn happen at least no more than a town away. Can't say i've really had any of those exciting stories other people have except I went from one server to another and when I spawned I happened to be in front of some people who promptly shot me (this after hours specifically trying to get to that spot because that's where me and my friends were going to meet up to play together), pretty zzz.

I felt exactly the same Anon, i never managed to finish BioShock 2 unfortunately, for some reason i just got bored of it. I've reinstalled it recently though, been meaning to sit down and give it another go.

Bioshock was an alright game but I don't get the hype especially over it being immersive because to me it came across very much as a game complete with themed levels (ice world, garden world, fire world etc). Wasn't overly impressed on that front but it was entertaining and fun enough. Haven't played the sequel yet.

Have finished Bioshock and thought it was pretty good.

Bought Bioshock 2 and will play it hopefully through after I finish Deus Ex HR & get sick of Skyrim.

I was surprised; when it came out I -thought- it had pretty mixed reviews but when I saw it on sale and checked again they were all generally positive so I thought I'd try it out.

Edit: Because I can't spell

There were a lot of mixed reviews about the multiplayer (which left a bit to be desired).

Playing through HL2 for the first time ever. At the start it was a bit random (never having played the first either) and boring. It's slowly getting better.

Also smashing through DIRT Showdown which is a **** load of fun. It's like destruction derby with Gymkhana added onto it.

Lol. After playing a bunch of God of War 3 lately the complete lack of depth in Asura's Wrath's combat is very jarring, even a bit frustrating.

I agree with BS2 being better, although I finished the first one as well. They're both awesome in any case, the 2nd felt more immersive to me.

I was disappointed that they changed the story from the little sister coming back to whatever they ended up going with. Especially disappointed because they did it for gameplay reasons and not narrative reasons.

Borderlands 2 pre-order has started on Steam. :D

As it stands now, the price jacking isn't so bad. For us it's only $3 more than in the US.
